I ordered and paid for a GE 2.3-cu-ft-Washer-4.4-cu-ft-Electric-Dryer-Combo-in-White from Home Depot The young delivery men ,2 of them, managed to carry the unit up a dirt path to the second floor laundry room entrance. Once there, they looked and looked and determined that the unit could not be installed in the area because of a 12” square beam protruding very near the unit placement. I measured the area and modify it prior to ordering it, and felt sure that it could be moved into the area. The delivery crew assured me that they couldn’t get it placed. I “rejected” the unit, they loaded it up and drive it away.

I called Fred’s Appliance Store in Coeur d Alene Idaho on October 30. The salesman said that they had the model number that I needed as a “floor model” and was reduced $400 because of 2 very small dents in the side. I paid over the phone and was given a delivery date of October 31 (today). The delivery truck arrived ON TIME,10:00am. The 2 young delivery men unloaded the washer/dryer unit and carried it up a dirt path to the 2nd floor laundry room entrance - AND, That was through 3” of fresh snow, the first of the season! They worked the unit into place and connected. It tested perfectly! They packed up and left.
I am VERY SATISFIED with my whole experience - with my purchase and the positive installation experience!

We needed to replace our ancient primary refrigerator plus washer and dryer. Tim Carlson was extremely helpful to us, very knowledgable, a good listener, and not "pushy". He made us aware of features in certain models that proved EXTREMELY helpful to us. For example, we desperately needed a refrigerator that was larger than our old 21 cu. ft. unit, and he identified one LG refrigerator with slightly thicker door panels and thinner walls that was a remarkable 26 cu. ft. that fit perfectly in our old smaller space! And for the washer and dryer, Tim identified GE models that were "front-loaders" mounted on 7" risers that are perfect for me to access in my wheelchair! Wow -- our new appliances far exceed what I thought was possible!

Had a 40-45 year old beloved speed queen washer and dryer. Dryer died. At remote location in northern Idaho. Almost impossible to get service repair or deliveries. Called Fred’s Appliance and talked to Steve. He understood and acknowledged the high quality of speed queen and they carry a speed queen classic line of washers and dryers- quite similar with some additional positive upgrades. Not alot of bells and whistles- just works great and exactly what i was looking for. And it got delivered and installed in 3 days!!! Has been working perfectly!! Steve was great!! Happy customer!?

My wash machine was on its last legs. I started out at the Division street location in Spokane. Jeff was very helpful in his knowledge of the various brands they carry. He looked up my and my husband's name on his computer. Our last purchase at a Fred's was an upright freezer. My husband decided on also purchasing the extended warranty on the freezer. Jeff informed me that we would get the cost of that warranty credited towards the washer as we didn't have to utilize the extended warranty. That was something I had forgotten.
As we reside in beautiful Coeur d Alene we both visited that location to check out washers there. We found a washer that we both agreed on. It was Memorial day so no immediate delivery. No problem, delivery was setup and we're very pleased with our purchase.

We have enjoyed the products we have purchased from Fred’s, however the warranty and service has been poor.

Initial appointment was 2 weeks out to fix my washer, they came out looked at it and said it needs a new part which would take 2 weeks to arrive and they would call to set up a time when the part came in. I had to call and find out the part had arrived and they put me on the schedule, again 2 weeks out. This morning after my wife took time off of work to be home they called and said they ordered the wrong part and would have to wait 2 weeks for the right one to come in.

I told the customer service rep this wasn’t going to work for me and I need a better solution and requested to speak to a supervisor. I was told the supervisor would give me a call shortly and here I am at the end of the day left with frustration.

I’m sure that someone will reply to this to save face for the company but I highly doubt they will do anything to resolve the grievance.

Save your money and don’t buy the warranty or go else where, not worth the headache or cost incurred from lack of service.

I used to love Fred's, I'd had good experiences and liked shopping local and at a place where I felt like they'd care if something went wrong. Well that assumption was incorrect, they are good as long as everything works but as soon as you need help they don't care. I bought a washer that came with a lid lock, which I don't love. The salesman said lots of customers just cut off the plastic tip of the latch, then it doesn't lock. I did that, and the washer wouldn't start because there's a sensor to make sure it's locked. I confirmed that was the issues, confirmed a replacement part exists, and went to Fred's to ask them if they could give me the part as it would be easy for me to fix, didn't need a whole service call. They told me that it was my fault and there was nothing they could do, and wouldn't even sell me the part. I explained I was following their own salesman's advice and they said that they sometimes pass along customers experiences as advice but aren't responsible if it doesn't work out. Well, for a $15 dollar part they just lost all my future business

Waiting for over a month for a replacement of ice maker. No calls from service to replace. Finally called service and schedule for replacement. Took day off work for appointment. No call. No show. Called and they had moved my appointment to another day with no communication. Poor customer service after sale.
