A few years we have been gifting my father-in-law , who lives in Lanciano, vouchers to geox. First couple of purchases went well but the last voucher he refuses to enter the store. They treated him badly, sold him shoes too small which he told them felt tight. They convinced him to buy the smaller size. He has spent money since trying to widen them and no wear is loosening then. He was also pressurised to buy a jacket too big, telling him how great he looked together with all the compliments to guarantee a sale. Having very poor eye sight, he was not able to see it in store properly. Once home, in calm, he saw it was too big. Having spend 300 euro on the jacket, he thought they would swap it for a smaller size. They were not interested and told him he couldn't. My husband returned on our next trip to Lanciano and tried to speak to them. The owner and sales ladies were very unsympathetic with an air of superiority. He gave the jacket away to Caritas, a charity, and refuses to enter the store. He strongly feels he was taken advantage of. They fail to realise, no matter what age, the customer pays their wages.
